Things have been pretty pleasant in our household for the past couple of months. My son started moving around and speaking a few words, but out of nowhere he has developed a new habit. It’s the screaming, and the kind that’s like chalkboard torture. I have tried everything to make him stop doing it, but the more I ask him to please stop the more he screams.
I’m sure it’s just a phase, but it’s starting to drive our family crazy. Even my daughter gets extremely annoyed by this blood curdling scream he lets out for anything he wants. I understand he wants attention all the time, but it’s impossible to do.
I’m looking for suggestions, as I’m sure we have all dealt with a screamer at one point or another. How do you get your children to stop the high pitch screams? Will it fade on its own like every other phase the kids have gone through or is there a special trick? Please let me know as these screams are getting a little difficult to deal with on a constant basis.
